Pinch pots

These are some pictures of ten pinch pots that I made in the beginning of the semester in ceramics class.  Some are very ugly, but there are a couple that I love.  Obviously they were hand-built.  I used a lot of different experimental methods including wax resist, sponging away terra cotta, using white slip, underglazing and glazing, and scgraffito.

Texture created using a loop tool. Turquoise and chartreuse underlaze on the exterior. Turquoise and chartreuse underglaze and Worthington's clear glaze on the interior.

Jet black underglaze and Worthington's clear glaze on both the exterior and interior. Scgraffito on exterior. Wax resist and wiped-away terra cotta revealing grog on interior.

Starry Night-esque. Many blues and straw underglazes as well as Worthington's clear glaze on interior and exterior. Pressed in holes create an opposite effect, scgraffito on rim, and stipple effect on exterior.

Pressed in hole texture.  Turquoise, chartreuse, and ivory underglazes and Worthington's clear glaze.

Who wants one?
