Sorry about the absence in posting... I have been working like a mad woman and just soaking in being home. The feeling of summer is finally sinking in! Currently listening to thunder in the garage while my grandmother paints a dresser and my dad builds a fence. Love it.
Anyway, this is my paired container project from Holly's class. I was excited for this project because this was the first time that we were really allowed to do whatever we wanted. The netsuki project (which I have yet to post about it because I am dreading looking at it any further) was a personal project, but it was hard to come up with something that I really loved. I also wasn't very comfortable with the clay yet, but I was able to whip this project out with no problems.
I love the organic feel of this and that it looks different from every angle. This was the first time I ever used flocking and I am IN LOVE. I love the constant need to touch it. And am so happy I didn't keep it matte black like I was planning on.

So as cheesy as this sounds, I am using it as a jewelry holder. If anyone has any other thoughts for it, feel free to share!
