What the flux?

OH alright I'll put off studying for my art history final for another ten minutes. Quit begging!

Today was our final critique for ceramics, and we were privileged enough to be able to present in the Oglesby Gallery!  I mean it's no MoMA, but it's nice every once and a while to do a little more than tack up a drawing or throw a sculpture on a messy table surrounded by backpacks and notebooks.

The show was awesome, even though it was just for an hour and a half.  And it didn't look too bad for a twenty-minute set up either!  Everyone got to put in one or two of their favorite pieces.  It was lovely to see the cream of the crop all together.

My contemporary project, which was based on Kate MacDowell's work.
Erika's teapot, which was inspired by Dale Chihuly and looks amazing.  Totally usable if there wasn't a crack on the inside... gimme!
Jane's coil pot. Loving the textures!
Hope's beautiful contemporary piece decorated with colored pencil and pastel.
Michelle's contemporary project.  Last minute decision to put the pod on the nest of string... looks awesome!

Awesome stuff from everyone in this class.  So sad it's over... but cannot wait for BFA Ceramics in the fall!
