I just had the most magnificent Mother's Day ever. Literally looked through my dad's parents old slides for 10 hours... not exaggerating. I'm still in my pajamas from last night.
The stuff we found was both hilarious and mind-blowing (i.e. Vietnam War protesters in London in the 70's, my great-grandfather's antique car collection, my grandpa's graduation from Notre Dame, embarrassing family photos, etcetera etcetera).
Meme and Pop playing cards, early 1970's (note the beehive).
Meme lounging on the Jersey shore, 1950's (cue the obnoxious yet contagious accents).
Pop with his "Salvage Boys" preparing for a dive, 1950's.
My grandmother's sense of style-- wait, now that I think of it, EVERYONE'S sense of style-- was just incredible. I will definitely be making a mock look book of all of Meme's outfits.
