This drawing was for a Valentine's Day project in my Drawing II class. We were supposed to keep far, far away from the cliches of love and Valentine's Day like x's and o's and big, red hearts. I had a very happy concept in mind for this, but the class saw a much darker, sadder meaning within it. Tell me what you think.

ReplyDeleteI dont know if you really wanted me going through your stuff.. i see it as someone who is on the verge of love. Either they are reaching for love that is in sight, or love that is being lost. Yes, it is rather dark, but it is also very romantic. I dont know what you meant it to mean, but that is how i took it. Yes, it does seem rather dark but it also seems romantic.
